Beyond the classroom

Self-expression through music, movement, dance and storytelling does more than exercise the body. It provides a space where children can safely experiment, create and grow; it teaches resilience and collaboration, and it gives them confidence. It builds the person.

Sport is an essential part of Cumnor’s all-round education philosophy. It is where we learn about resilience, strategy, courage, encouragement, fair play, and winning – and losing – well. It is where an ‘esprit de corps’ is built, and bonds are forged.

Cumnor’s Creative Arts provision is deliberately designed for a fast-changing world, in which agility and creativity are key. Our Art and DT programs not only fire young imaginations, but they equip our pupils with the skills, techniques and ways of thinking they will need for the future. Both faculties have a reputation for excellence, for nurturing individual creativity and supporting the development of technical skills.
