The Curriculum
Kudos is our own, unique curriculum, which combines subject knowledge and academic rigour with the development of life skills.
Rigour & Breadth
Kudos extends the rigour of learning across all subjects, both academic and co-curricular. This means that pupils will experience the same level of challenge and stretch already offered in examined subjects.
Knowledge & Skills
Kudos uses the traditional Common Entrance syllabus in academic subjects. Its difference, though, lies in the way that learning is applied. Essentially, this means there is less emphasis on cramming for exams, and more on developing independent study skills and critical thinking.
Good at Learning
Kudos empowers pupils to become good learners, to be proficient using 21st century tools and to be excellent collaborators.
Exam Practice
Kudos maintains a keen focus on three core examined subjects – Maths, English, and Science – to ensure that pupils are fully prepared and proficient in exam techniques and questions.
The Timetable
Science, Technology, Maths, the Humanities, Languages including French and Latin, Performing Arts, Creative Arts, Sport & PE are all timetabled every week.
As well as these core subjects, Kudos offers the opportunity for pupils to choose one or two further subjects, serving either as pre-GCSE foundation courses, or important life skills. These currently include Textiles, Entrepreneurship, Coding/Computer Science, Ancient Greek, Spanish, German and Sports Science – with more to come.
