Through The Cumnor Foundation* our Foundation Scholarships provide 100% funding for up to two children each year from Year 4 (aged 8+) to Year 8 (aged 13).
Thereafter, we facilitate moving to a local Sussex or national independent senior school, subject to meeting the entry criteria of each school, where they join that senior school’s own fee assistance programme. The Foundation Scholarship at Cumnor includes activities such as sport, music, art and DT, as well as the cost of school uniform and school trips.

Music tuition bursary
Children achieving the following grades are eligible to apply for paid tuition for up to two instruments, provided they are taught at the school. In the case of a music theory candidate achieving Grade 5, one of their instrumental studies at school will be supported. The Headmaster may also award discretionary financial assistance for music lessons to children in Year 3 to Year 5. These awards are reviewed annually.
- Strings and Piano – Distinction at Grade 4, or pass at Grade 5
- Vocal, Brass, Wind and Drums – Pass at Grade 5
- Music Theory – Pass at Grade 5
