There are three types of bursaries available from the School;
- Foundation Scholarships for children who currently attend state school and are academically gifted or show outstanding potential in sport, music, art, DT or drama;
- Hardship Assistance for parents in times of unforeseen financial hardship; and
- Music Scholarships. The school encourages musical excellence and awards bursaries to those children who have passed distinction at Grade 4 or a pass at Grade 5 (piano and string instruments) or distinction at Grade 5 or a pass at Grade 6 (brass, wind instruments, drums and vocal). Lessons must be taken at school.
Financial support in the form of means-tested fee assistance is available for parents who, for some unexpected reason, are unable to afford the standard fees. To receive means-tested fee assistance, parents will have to demonstrate a genuine need for financial assistance. The Governors set the funds available for fee assistance based on the financial health of the School and the approved charitable benefit. Approved fee assistance and funds available to support it are reviewed by the Governors on a termly basis.
For further information on fee assistance, please contact the Bursar, Matt Mockridge, on 01825 792 003 or bursar@cumnor.co.uk
For further information including registration fees, extra-curricular activities, or wrap-around care please see our detailed fee schedule or contact the Registrar, Cecilia Desmond, on 01825 792 006 or registrar@cumnor.co.uk.
Cumnor House Sussex supports the School Fees Trust Scheme. It is a sad fact that every year over 1,000 pupils across the country suffer the bereavement of one of their parents, but fortunately participation in this scheme will at least enable them to stay in the school of their choice.
